PBK Scholarship Application Now Available
The Phi Beta Kappa Society is a leading national advocate for the value of arts and sciences education. Beginning November 1, the Society invites online applications from students for its Key into Public Service scholarship and mentoring program. The Society will award up to 20 liberal arts and sciences majors around the nation with $5,000 undergraduate scholarships. Scholarship recipients will participate in an educational conference in Washington, DC from June 21-25, 2023, which will provide training, mentoring, and reflection on pathways into local, state, and federal government careers. Phi Beta Kappa membership is not required.
Characteristics of ideal recipients include intellectual curiosity, breadth and depth of arts and sciences coursework, leadership propensity, and service to others.

We have arranged for PBK Visiting Scholar Nina Pavcnik to visit UIC on October 4-6. Dr. Pavcnik is Professor of Economics at Dartmouth College and her visit will be hosted by our Economics Department.
